Clement Quartey


Clement Quartey (born April 12, 1938 in Accra) is a former Ghanaian boxer. At the 1960 Summer Olympics he won the silver medal in the men's Light Welterweight (63.5 kg) category.〔(Clement Quartey ) at sports-reference.com〕 It was Ghana's first Olympic medal in history. He also won a gold medal at the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games held in Perth, Australia.
Better known as "Isaac" or "Ike", Clement is an older brother of former welterweight champion Ike Quartey.
